My dream dress - Allure C128

Yay Dress!

I actually got to try on my dream dress.  After hours of calling (literally every store in GA and SC that carries Allure, and many in FL), I found the dress sample in Jacksonville.  My mom and I drove the 3 hours to try it on on Sunday, October 11, 2009.  The sample was a little big, but I'd rather have to have it clipped up than to be so small I can't fit in it.  Needless to say, it was perfect and I ordered it from our local Allure retailer the next day.  It's supposed to be here Jan. 15, 2010!

Oh, and excuse some of the not-so-wonderful facial expressions in the pictures below.  My mom has a great talent for taking pictures of me when I'm talking/not ready.

UPDATE:  My dress came in 1.5 months early, on Black Friday!  I don't start fittings until June, but I'm *so* excited.  I went to the store and put it on on Saturday (after Black Friday), and it already fits beautifully everywhere but the length and bust.  Yay!

Final Fitting

Final Fitting was on Aug. 5, 2010.  My mom and her friend handmade my veil, and I love it!

Bridal Accessories

Shoes, garters, the hanger for my dress...I'm planning on wearing my mom's pearls (something borrowed), so we got a pearl barrette to match for my hair.
Clemson garter - some random online store
Transformers garter - Etsy seller Panterene
Shoes - customs from Converse.com
Hanger - Etsy seller Lilafrances
Barrette - Etsy seller Seduce

Bridesmaids' Dresses

I originally told the girls they could wear any short, navy, chiffon dress they wanted, as long as the dresses were all from the same line (so the navies would match).  They all picked Sophia Tolli BY2996T.  It's really pretty, and fits all my requirements.

FI and I are planning on going out after the reception because we're not really "OOOOOO let's go enjoy our wedding night all ALONE" kind of people, so I bought the same dress in ivory to change into for a party dress.  :-)

Groom's Tux

Picture
Yay Ivory.  Hopefully it'll match my dress.  Brad was happy just to get a nice, classic tux that probably isn't going to break the bank for anyone.

Groomsmen, ringbearers, and my dad will wear the same tux, but with a midnight vest to match the bridesmaid dresses.  Yes I know, matchy match, oh the horror.  Neither of us cared, so it was easier this way.
