DIY Paper.  I must be a masochist.

***IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR DIY INVITATIONS, THEY ARE ON THE "LABOR OF LOVE" TAB.  THIS IS EVERYTHING ELSE.

Yup, I'm attempting to DIY most of my paper products.  Just because I feel like it.  Yay?

As things get done, they will be transferred from the DIY list to here in picture form (generally just screen shots of what I designed, but maybe a finished product if I get the time).

If you want my templates, I am more than willing to share.  Please email me at [email protected] requesting templates and I will mail them to you.  Most, if not all, of them are available for download here though, along with the fonts it took to create them.  Each project will tell you what font was used, or you can just download all seven of them.

First project done because I figured it'd be the easiest!

Monogram designed in Powerpoint, printed by Vistaprint on business cards.  250 for free; only paid shipping.

Designed by me using monogram.  No template available because actually designed in vistaprint.

Directions Postcard from Ceremony to Reception

Picture
Postcard with map that I designed in MS Office using Mapquest and the drawing and text box tools (I Googled for more exact directions).  Uploaded to Vistaprint in the regular postcard size because I got 100 free!  Made 2 orders just in case.

I ordered these the same time as my Photoshare cards and paid under $20 for the upload to both items and the shipping.  200 postcards and 250 business (photoshare) cards.  Woohoo!

The current plan is for the ushers to hand them out as people leave the church sanctuary.

Save the Date Magnet and Postcard

Picture
Magnet and postcard ordered through Vistaprint.  On the flip side of the postcard is the hotel accommodations information for our guests, which I thought may be helpful, even this far in advance.  The magnet is stuck to the postcard with a removable glue dot.

I'm glad I was able to find a design I liked without our picture on it, since at the time we still didn't have a @*#&%^!%&$* photographer.  ::grumble::

Best part?  I got 200 postcards, 200 envelopes, and 175 magnets for $53.82.  NOT BAD if I do say so myself.  With any luck they'll look stellar when they come in.

UPDATE:  They came in and we've sent them out!  I'm glad I ordered more than I thought I would need, because some of the magnets weren't cut exactly right.  But I ended up with enough that looked right to not have to complain to Vistaprint, and ended up with a ton leftover (I really only ended up needing about 125).  I've gotten nothing but wonderful compliments on them.  :-)

Vendor Thank You Cards

Picture
Completely and totally stole this idea from MattandNiki (?) because I love it *so* much.

Printed on Vistaprint's Rack Cards, 50 for free (just pay shipping, so about $4.50 for 50 of them)

The tiny print at the bottom reads:  "We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all your help to make our wedding a very special day! Everything was perfect for us and our guests and that alone was one of the best gifts we could have received."

Welcome Brochures for OOT bags

Another one I stole from Knottie MattandNiki (?)  The idea was awesome and I loved it.  I wanted to do a letter, but the brochure seemed much more organized to me.

Outside of brochure (L to R) - Note of what is in brochure, List of names and important numbers, Welcome panel
Inside of brochure (L to R) - Wedding itinerary, Directions from hotels to church, List of our favorite places to eat and visit

These may prove to be totally unnecessary, but we have the majority of our guest list coming in from OOT so we're doing OOT bags, and I wanted something to put in them, so I gathered up information and waited on an email from Vistaprint for free brochures.  Cost for 125 brochures and 250 menus (below) came to a little less than $40 with shipping.  WOO HOO!

The picture on the front of the brochure is actually from an historic site right down the street from our ceremony venue.  Perfect!  :-)

Menus

Front is pretty self-explanatory.  We're having a seated meal, but the only thing people know when they choose their meal is the meat part of the meal.

Back lists the history of the favors we're giving out, as well as the numbers of some local cab companies just in case they choose to go out after the reception and need that information.

Front and Back of Ceremony Program

Picture
Template credit to ChiMonique.

5.5" x 5.5" square booklet, 8-pages.  These are the first and last pages.  Will be covered by green cardstock and tied with blue ribbon. Printed the first page of the program again on the green cardstock for  a cover.

Template uses Chopin Script and Times New Roman fonts.  Flourish is Swinging font, letter q I believe.

Kids' Coloring Book

Picture
Just the first page of an 18 page booklet.  I DO NOT remember where I got this from, but it was Easy to change around.  It's a .doc format.

PLEASE let me know if this was yours so I can credit you!

These are finished.  I printed out 10 of them at the office (Shhh, don't tell!) and then had them bound at Office Max for $20.  I also found packs of 24 crayons for $.50 a piece at Office Max, so I bought 10 boxes so each book would get a box of crayons with it.

Reserved Signs

Picture
Design by JenWoodhouse, but completely had to re-do them because I didn't know how to alter a PDF to change the color with the programs available to me.

I really liked them, but as the planning goes on, I'm seeing less and less use for them, since we'll most likely have an entire seating chart and ALL seats will be "reserved" in a way.  Oh well, they're still really pretty looking, so I'll leave them here in case someone else wants them.
